I can't help but notice the Tipton critics bombed in the election.  Terry Smith got
6.2% of the mayoral vote, and Baker/Payne/Kubina combined would have still
lost.  It seems the "free dwm" movement doesn't have much support in Decatur,
after all.  These are the very people claiming to represent "we, the people"
regarding the State of Alabama v Daniel Wade Moore--the Decatur Daily's
"evidence" of a public outrage against his convictions and death penalty.

It appears that attacking the victims of a violent crime isn't good politics in
Decatur.  And I hope that trend continues for Halbrooks in November, and for
Judge Thompson in 2006.

Maybe Thompson will wait to see how Halbrooks does before he makes his
ruling, just to test the waters.  If she were to win, he would be braver about
turning dwm loose.  But if she were to lose, it might not look so promising for
him at re-election time.  Especially if she were to lose badly.

So, very clearly, a vote for Catherine Halbrooks is a vote for Daniel Wade Moore.

Consider this:

If Halbrooks were to win the election,
Morgan County would have a DA that
believes dwm should walk free, and that
the City of Decatur should pay him 25
million dollars.  As opposed to Bob
Burrell, who believes dwm should die for
what he did to Karen.
