HOWARD GODBEE
When I took the stand, I testified I had come home from work October 2, 1998
(remember Godbee told the paper he only started working there in October) about five
pm and Godbee, DWM, Karen, and the girls were there. I provided a copy of the date,
the work that had been done...even the number of the check used to pay for the repair.
He had claimed in the paper it was a five minute visit...but they were there about ten
minutes after I arrived. Godbee hadn't even remembered I was there, so he felt
comfortable lying. After all, Karen wasn't going to confront him on it.
When DWM testified, he admitted to being in our master bedroom upstairs alone on
this visit. It seems he installed the back-up battery...and they did a security check
(giving DWM the installer's code to our alarm)
And he admitted to making numerous repair visits alone, without Godbee.
Strangely, he denied the children were there that day...
DWM called ME a liar!!!
So what I'm trying to tell you is this:
Howard Godbee and DWM have both called me a liar.
And BOTH of them were shown beyond any doubt to have lied repeatedly and
consistently throughout the past four years.
In court, under oath, you can go to jail for lying.
In the Decatur Daily, you get headlines.

CHECKS (AND DON'T YOU THINK HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN STEALING,
TOO, WITH GODBEE'S "SECURITY CLEARANCE") AT THE VERY TIME
HE WAS WORKING FOR GODBEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GODBEE LIED ABOUT THE DATES DWM WORKED FOR HIM.
GODBEE HAS NO DOCUMENTS TO SHOW EITHER KAREN CANCELLED
THE ALARM CALL, OR THE "TERMINATION" OF DWM'S EMPLOYMENT.
GODBEE LIED ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE ALARM SYSTEM IN THE
CRIME SCENE, AND PRESENTED HIMSELF AS AUTHORITY ON THE
ALARM SYSTEM, THE CRIME SCENE, AND DWM FOR THE PRESS AND
PUBLIC.
GODBEE GAVE DWM SECURITY ACCESS TO HIS OWN SECURITY
COMPANY'S OFFICE.
DWM MADE AT LEAST ONE UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY INTO THAT
OFFICE...

system, important details that have still been skimmed over, but instead he claimed
something that even Howard Godbee had never said. Just like Halbrooks was claiming
Karen had a daily male visitor, when even Bonnie Kidd had never said that. But from
my notes, the opening statement claims were: HALBROOKS: Karen had a drastic
change in appearance, there was a daily male visitor, there was a "swap offer,"
there was computer data (all of which was to be so shocking and offensive that the
jury would see ANYBODY could have killed this woman)... AND POWELL: alarm
wasn't disabled, there was a paving crew from "up north," and the prosecution's
DNA expert was from "way down in Louisiana." That's IT??? That's the defense
of DWM??? How does this stack up with DNA 7 1/2 million to one, five hundred
to one, and five hundred to one???
