December  2003
I found it ironic that the Daily followed up with another editorial about how sex
offenders are "scum" and "perverts" and should be "locked up" a long time.  Yet they
are Daniel Wade Moore's gratis public relations team!!!  They think he's guilty?  Then
why have they implied otherwise all these years?  Why do they attack Karen in their
newspaper, when they believe dwm is guilty????  What does that show about THEIR
character?  Why do they refuse to print anything damaging to Daniel Wade Moore's
reputation, when they so gleefully attack Karen's???

Simply put, instead of covering the story of this heinous crime, they have played
politics and made money.  They don't care about anything else.

The Daily's long article mentioned the fact that the legal system is an adversarial
process--meaning there are two sets of lawyers fighting against each other.
Unfortunately, the Daily only covers one side of that process--the list of accusations
made by the defense lawyers.  They not only cover the defense filings, they present
them as FACT with misleading headlines.  The prosecution responses, on the other
hand, are ignored.  It would have been just as fair to say Alabama won 23-0.

To my knowledge, there has not been one word in the press about the
State's petition
to
the Alabama Supreme Court, although it is an authoritative document covering the
very issues making headlines here.  On the other hand, we've had three headline stories
attacking the police, the prosecution, and the victims--all those who oppose the scum
pervert sexual torture killer.  They present Halbrooks' accusations of professional
misconduct against the prosecution as fact, but fail to mention the Bar Association is
investigating my complaint against her.  The way I see it, The Decatur Daily knows
he's guilty, and they're still on his side.

Incidentally, Channel 19 did a nice piece on the two teenagers running their alleged
news site--complimenting them on their work and providing a link to their site from
their own webpage. The bulk of the website is an irresponsible and inappropriate
discussion forum--dedicated primarily to attacking me.  There have been at least 700
posts removed by the administrator of the board because of their inappropriate
nature--posts allowed and encouraged by the teenagers.  Channel 19 evidently thinks
that's a job well-done.  I note that when I contacted Channel 19 to tell them of
my
website, they didn't cover it at all-- they just called Halbrooks and Thompson to tell
them about it.  And this is the channel that has done the
fairest treatment of the story
overall!!

From my point of view, the local press will cover any lie that helps Daniel Wade
Moore, and they steadfastly refuse to cover any truth that hurts him. They even help
him attack the victims of the crime, and all those trying to bring him to justice.

Since the Decatur Daily has proclaimed their editorial opinion that Daniel Wade Moore
is guilty, I'd like to say I know a hundred times more about this case than all their
reporters combined, and I have a few opinions of my own:

-Daniel Wade Moore sexually tortured Karen Tipton, and killed her.
-Daniel Wade Moore received a fair trial, and was convicted of four counts of capital
murder.
-Daniel Wade Moore received a trial ridiculously biased in his favor, courtesy of Judge
Glenn Thompson.
-Daniel Wade Moore should be on death row, awaiting execution.
-Public perception has been influenced by a five-year propaganda campaign, courtesy
of the local press and led by The Decatur Daily.
-Daniel Wade Moore is a proven thief, crack addict, liar, sexual torturer and killer.
-Daniel Wade Moore committed the most vicious, cruel, senseless crime imaginable,
and is matched to the crime by
D N A !
It takes twenty pages to print out their last summary of the "Tipton Case," and they
called it "Hiding the Ball."  A more appropriate title might be
"HIDING THE DNA." Because in The State of Alabama v Daniel Wade
Moore, DNA is the
whole ballgame.
