When Bonnie Kidd was excused from testimony, the defense's star witness was literally
running after Don Valeska (the prosecutor) exclaiming she'd been "taken out of context"
and that she wasn't finished with her testimony. This is not funny; she knew she had
been misrepresented by Ms. Halbrooks, and that she had not been allowed to follow her
sworn oath to tell the WHOLE truth.
When the Daily (and ALL the local press) published DAILY male visitor, she called to
complain. They brushed her off. When the trial was over, and they couldn't use her
any further, they published a brief "wink and grin" retraction, failing to mention that
Catherine Halbrooks had been LYING all along--in court, outside of court, and
directly to the Decatur Daily. It amazes me that the DWM fan club told the rest of the
local press the same lies, and not only did they report it, they STILL think it's true...

silent, maintaining the integrity of the investigation. But four years later, I responded
with an angry, hurtful letter on this website. Although I still think it's "in keeping" with
the way Ms. Halbrooks and the newspaper attacked us using Bonnie Kidd, I realize
now it's not fair to make personal attacks on Dr. Kidd, and I've removed it.
