| The Court of Criminal Appeals isn't from Decatur. They're from way down in Montgomery. They don't read the Daily. They DID read Thompson's ruling, and the petition from the State of Alabama. And they responded by allowing Judge Thompson three weeks to defend his ruling. Then they'll decide what to do next. It is an unusual event. It is much, much more common for such petitions to be turned down outright, as the dissenting judge wanted. It's clear they're ALL taking this seriously. But, to my knowledge, there has been no press coverage of it at all. Youngduck was on TV today saying local Koreans are offended by the Japanese garden, but a dramatic ruling from the CCA in the Tipton Tipton Tipton (SOA v dwm) Case...a matter of great public interest...was not. I must say, Decatur is a very strange place. |
