Department of Forensics III
About that same time, I called the Coroner to ask about the autopsy report.  He told me
three people got copies--the Coroner, the police, and the DA.  He said he couldn't give it
to me--just the DA.  The police told me I had a legal right to it, but I'd have to get it
from the DA.  So I called DA Bob Burrell's office, and they told me they didn't have it.
I told them they were lying and I wanted it.  So they admitted they had it, and told me
I'd have to get a copy from the police.  The Department of Forensics took my money
for the certified copy, and told me it wasn't ready a week after I saw it with my own
eyes...

Get the picture????

After the DNA testing was finally done a year and a half after the murder, DWM was
arrested and charged with capital murder.  When I met with the DA for the first time,
the first thing out of my mouth was that I wanted a copy of the autopsy report.  You
know what Bob Burrell said?  "I don't think we have a copy of that."  I told him YES
YOU DO and I want a copy.  I was told it might have DNA reports attached to it, as if
that made a difference.  My thought was that I was the only person in the room capable
of actually reading the report, and I was the only one not being allowed to see it.

EIGHT MONTHS LATER, I GOT THE FOLLOWING LETTER FROM DR.
